How to speed up the Family computer in less than 15 minutes?

Monday, September 14th, 2009

This article describes simple steps that anyone can follow to rapidly speed up their computer. Implementing step 1 or step 2 should take no more than 15 minutes and will work for both PC and Mac users.

Step 1 -  Clean the computer registry

Slow computers often have errors in their registry. The registry is comparable to a nervous system. Its main function is to connect software hardware and computer files. Errors often lead to the corruption of the registry, and reduce the computer speed . A simple step is to locate then repair the errors in the registry. Cleaning the registry manually is possible but not recommended, as this method requires specific knowledge of the registry structure and its functions. Using a registry cleaner software is a faster, more reliable option to eliminate errors, redundant files, incorrect links and deal with ActiveX components. Click on compare registry fix software for more information.

Step 2 – Delete and block adware and spyware

Another common reason leading to computers slowing-down, is the large number of spyware and adware, which are downloaded from the Internet, often without the users knowledge. Typically this occurs when downloading videos, music or other files from peer to peer (P2P) networks. A straightforward solution to improve the speed of any computer is to use an anti spyware or adware program to scan, remove then block adware and spyware. It helps to test the relevant anti spyware or adware program by downloading a trial version as most of them are free. The main features to consider are Ease of Download and Simplicity of Use, Automatic Backup, Quality of Customer Service, and the overall effectiveness of the software. The best software tend to be the simplest to use and rely on a research capability that constantly updates the software for new threats. Click on best adware spyware removal for more information.

Step 3 – Eliminate viruses

Unsurprisingly many computer viruses can slow down computers and drive down response times. Computer viruses must be deleted for two reasons, firstly they often damage files, secondly they tend to waste memory and disk space. In order to overcome these problems, as well as optimise performance, users should run the latest version of the best anti-virus programs. In the end, they will also be in a stronger position to improve their computer performance.

Step 4 – Simple housekeeping tasks

There are many simple housekeeping tasks which can be done to improve the speed of any computer, for example uninstalling any software that is not needed.  Alternatively, stopping programs to launch automatically can also improve the performance of any computer. Marginal improvements usually result from these simple tasks.

Step 5 – Optimise the Hard disk

For hard disks which are smaller than 2GB then at least 200MB of disk should be kept free and at least 500MB for larger hard disks. This free space is an important contributor of your computer speed as it is used by temporary files placed there by computer programs. This free space also enables your computer to swap files as the computers starts using virtual memory (when it runs out of RAM). Unless sufficient space on the hard disk is availble, the system slows down significantly in that event. To check the hard disk itself it is recommended to use a disk scanning programs such as Scandisk for Windows. For instance whilst some hard disks may be large enough, they may be too fragmented with some sectors being unusable. Running a defragmentation software is another useful step which will improve computer performance.

Step 6 – Optimising the RAM

Some programs are poorly designed and do not release RAM resources after they are closed. This reduces the amount of memory available for other programs. Computers frequently run out of RAM after a while. In order to overcome this, ugrading the RAM is probably necessary. Alternatively running certain programs simultaneously should also be avoided, this option is of course free.

Step 7 – Stop the computer from overheating

Faulty fans are a common cause leading to the computer overheating, slowing down then freezing as a result. To overcome this problem, installing a new fan is the best solution which will reduce the computer’s temperature by increasing the airflow and ultimately improve response time.

Property insurance covers your physical belongings including inventory, equipment, records, building, computers, fixtures, valuable papers, furnishings, etc. In addition, this type of insurance may likewise replace earnings if your business has to shut down for a while after a catastrophe.

An example – your property was destroyed in a fire. You might be insured for that loss and are most likely to get insurance payments to cover your lost revenue during your recovery stage, depending on what type of coverage you have. You should verify to see if your plan will cover you in this event.

Another business insurance is business liability insurance. Its purpose is to shield business assets in case your business was assumed to have caused a property or physical injury to a certain individual.

For example, your liability insurance policy may cover the payout if a person claimed they were was injured because of goods which you are selling. Or, your liability policy could cover the legal costs if your competitor sued you for trademark infringement.

Most insurance providers bundle together the necessary coverage of both liability insurance and primary property coverage in a reasonably priced small business insurance. You can make changes to your insurance bundle by changing coverage limits to include options to cover particular threats to your business.

Additional business insurance providers have packages for particular types of small companies and optional coverage for very specific types of risk, such as surety bonds. Insurance agents can go over all commercial plans you might need for what your company does.

No. 3 COSTA GREENHOUSE

Assistant Area Supervisor Fires Unruly Boss!

Apr 24, 2009 Ameri Plan USA

Do you really like working for someone else? Well I thought I had the perfect job. I was a one woman office and it was great. I earned a good salary and had to commute back and forth to the workplace, leaving my grand children that I’m raising in back home while working an hours drive away. I also thought I had the perfect title.. “Assistant Area Supervisor”. It sounded so impressive to me. Well I thought about that title and got to thinking. Area, meaning in my job that I was also suppose to travel to some of our other offices. Well that never happen and, there was noe one but me to supervise. What do yo think, impressive? “NOT”? So in Reality I was a nobody with a going nowhere job.

And my boss, well he was impressive also. If things didn’t go his way he would make the thirty minute drive to take his anger out on me. Now there is no one to yell and curse at me. Even go as far as to slam his fist on my desk and proceed to tell me that I need to get whatever he was about fixed or done.

I finally stood up to him one day. That’s when I realized my job was soon coming to an end. Four months later I was fired. I got layed off from that job after 7 years of hard work. I felt helpless and totally alone with no one to depend on except myself.

My life changed after I received a post card in the mail. I felt like I needed to call. I’m so happy Ameriplan found me. As a bonus, I now have a new best friend.

I no longer have a rude boss. Because now I am my own boss. I love my business ( AmeriPlan USA.com ) and I can honestly say that and mean it. I can now spend unlimited time with my grandchildren. I can’t believe the time I lost with them when I was working for someone else. Now we just do what we want when we want and I don’t have to beg for time off. We just go. I love working from home and I think everyone should at least give us a try. Now I work in my PJ’s and there is no need to punch a time clock. By the way, I don’t own a time clock.

Why The Future of Marketing Could be Online Surveys

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Your customers are demanding. They’re extremely media aware and increasingly cynical – it’s a clever marketeer who can get under their skin. Online surveys reinvent the traditional format – bringing all the benefits of the Internet without the programming. Here are ten reasons why they may be the silver bullet marketeers’ need, complete with examples supplied by Martin Day, managing director of Survey Galaxy – one of a new breed of websites making online surveys quicker and cheaper

1. It’s cheap as buttons

Select the right survey website and creating surveys can be free of any charge and the cost to publish is minimal.
Useful information derived from surveys can be reused and repackaged in other marketing and PR for use in press outlets making it a very efficient form of information gathering.

Buy Now!

2. It’s easy

Anyone can create, design and publish an online survey. Create professional looking online surveys in a matter of minutes, no programming skills are required and when published the surveys are simple to complete.

3. Anyone can play

Promoting an online survey can be via email (with a link enclosed), through a link from a website or as a referenced by other forms of advertising. Anyone who has the URL can be connected instantly to the survey, at a time that’s convenient to them, 24×7.

4. We have an opinion – and we like to give it

The majority of customers do not view surveys as spam and will in fact welcome the opportunity to voice their opinion and have the chance to make an impact on a brand. They can be particularly good for broaching sensitive subjects with concerned employees; a survey asking a workforce on their opinion of change allows the key issues to be raised in a positive manner and encourages employee participation. Online surveys ensures that the message reaches each individual and the feedback is compiled in a manageable form.

5. Get inside your respondent’s head

A customer may see an advertisement but you can’t be sure they have read it. Surveys actively engage the respondent, who read and then think about the question before giving their response.

6. Beautiful relationships start here

It needn’t all end once a survey has been completed – while you have their attention you can ask if they want to sign up for more information or a regular newsletter – making the most of the window when you have their interest.

7. Have you also seen….

Maximise the interest of those responding to your survey by referencing related information. By embedding links within the survey you are able to reinforce the marketing message.

8. Subtle marketing

In the mind of the respondent a surveys can help associate a product with a number of positive attributes. By listing the many features of a product and then asking the respondent to say how important the features are to them, regardless of their response, the respondent will associate the product with the features.

9. Not just selling

A survey is an effective, easy and quick method to promote and gain acceptance for a difficult proposal; for example a public body trying to gain acceptance and support for a particular scheme.
Take the example of a city trying to gain support from the general public for their bid to host a future Olympic Games. With a survey you have the opportunity to explain each benefit putting the respondent in a much better frame of mind to appreciate an argument and be more positive in their response. Your primary goal may be to promote a cause but you will automatically receive useful feedback that can then be used to fine tune the overall marketing strategy.

10. Fresh topics engage interest
By thinking laterally a lively and imaginative approach to surveys could provide a ‘hook’ to engage respondents. The survey subject can be aimed at a particular group on a subject close to theirs hearts. The survey’s marketing message can take the form of a simple brand awareness message by stating that ‘the survey is being sponsored by brand name’, or by finding a link from the subject matter to the product – something that is surprisingly easy to do and that is highly effective.

Discover the benefits of including in your website a Public Survey section as many people who enjoy completing crosswords and doing word puzzles enjoy completing surveys. Low cost and automated, having a public survey notice board as part of a website will help increase traffic and establish a loyal and returning following. Unlike discussion boards there is no opportunity for people to disrupt the site by inappropriate remarks as the survey results are displayed in summary form enabling them to dispense with moderators and maintenance.

Customers do not often view surveys as spam and the majority welcome the opportunity to make their voice heard and a chance to have an impact on a brand.

Many of the techniques and a few more are contained in the following Sample Marketing Survey.
