Embellising your scrapbook page is a very important part of creating an interesting page.  It is possible to use quite plain papers, but end up with an eye catching page by adding embellishments that do justice to your photos.

Some photos need something plain, but others lend themselves to having quite a busy background to highlight the total page effect.  Choose embellishments that suit the photo.  Don't go putting lacy things next to hubby fixing the car, or football boots next to your lovely little girl photo.

EMBELLISHMENTS THAT YOU CAN LOOK OUT FOR:

Buttons, string, wool, raffia, pictures from brochures, gift cards, birthday cards, or in fact any sort of commercial greeting card. (cards are also a great source of sayings, poems and titles)

You can use all sorts of cut out cardboard to add variety to your pages.  There are a lot of textured cards that are intereting to use to add that little extra touch.
